Product description
Sintered pe filters use a sinter material with a molecular weight of 3 million or more. After being sieved, the pressure inside the mold with internal and external mirrors is placed in the sintering furnace at a certain temperature.
A certain sintering holding time, made from baked out, baked, and film, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene has better acid and alkali resistance than ordinary polyethylene.
Below 80 °C, its acid and alkali resistance is comparable to PTFE, and its rigidity and flexibility are better than those of ordinary polyethylene. Hole forming mechanism: Similar to powder metallurgy porous materials, microspores are formed by bridging between particles.
The micro-diameter structure is a labyrinth structure with multiple holes superimposed to form the final filter aperture.

Porous Plastic Filter
Are sintered porous filter discs suitable for sterile filtration?
Yes, sintered porous filter discs can be designed for sterile filtration applications, especially when made from materials suitable for high-temperature and chemical sterilization methods.
How do I choose the right sintered porous filter disc for my application?
Consider factors such as the nature of the substances being filtered, operating conditions (temperature, pressure), chemical compatibility, and desired filtration precision. Consulting with filtration experts can help guide the selection process.
Can sintered plastic porous filters be customized?
Yes, sintered plastic porous filters can be customized to meet specific application requirements, including pore size, shape, dimensions, and surface properties. Customizations may also include the addition of additives or reinforcements for enhanced performance.
What is Porosity in Filtration?
Porosity, in the context of filtration, measures the pores on the filter surface, determining its efficiency and capabilities. Higher porosity indicates more open structures (pores), allowing maximum flow with minimal pressure drops.
However, it's crucial to note that a higher porosity rate doesn't necessarily guarantee greater efficiency. When selecting the right material for your porous metal filter, consider aspects such as pore size, pressure drop, temperature resistance, and strength.
• Size of Pores: Micron rating is crucial. A material rated at 5 microns will likely stop particles of 5 microns or larger.
• Pressure Drop: Choose a material with a minimum pressure drop for uniform flow.
• Temperature Resistance: Analyze the material's capability to perform efficiently under specific temperatures.
• Strength: Opt for a filter with the strength to withstand changing environmental conditions.
How do I clean and maintain sintered porous filter discs?
Cleaning methods depend on the material used. For metal discs, methods may include backwashing, ultrasonic cleaning, or chemical cleaning. Polyethylene discs are often cleaned with mild detergents. Regular maintenance ensures a prolonged operational life.
How do I clean and maintain sintered plastic porous filters?
Sintered plastic porous filters can be cleaned using various methods, such as backwashing, ultrasonic cleaning, chemical cleaning, and steam sterilization, depending on the type of contaminants and the filter's compatibility with cleaning agents. Regular maintenance, such as inspection and replacement of filters, is essential to ensuring optimal performance.
